I let you down when you're not around you know I can't be trusted with anything All this time we've wanted so much to just belong why can't we just feel love?
Zeek had helped to craft the wine. It was close, not quite there but almost 100% ambrosia. One could not make the honey wine fully godly until it had the Narcissus bloom from the underworld. That was something not even the dashing Dionysus could get on earth. So he reclined himself comfortably proud as hell of his creation. When Keane's eyes lit up he grinned all the more. The stuff was heady, and smooth and tasted of the wild and in the distant notes, so vague it was almost intangible, was the wild touch of immortality.
He stared up as Keane got dead serious and his smile faltered a little. He quirked a drunken brow and cocked his head to the side like an over sized lapdog trying to figure out a very difficult puzzle. He stared up into Keane's eyes wondering, for a brief moment, if the man was just far too into role play and he had tapped that. Part of him screamed, go with it I promise he wont be disappointed at your rendition of the god, the other part, the more sane and more sober part. Though that part was currently tiny it whispered, this creep is crazy!
He reached up and poked Keane's nose and grinned, “God's aren't real muse but it seems muses are. I defiantly find myself wanting to express plenty around you.” He was stepping more cautiously but still flirting openly not letting the sudden turn in mood take him too far from how high he had been flying just a moment ago. ”So I will be your Dionysus for tonight if you like but in the morning you got to be satisfied with Ezekiel.”
He touched the subject softly and let it go letting that lazy smile spread on his lips as he took a slow sip of the wine and sighed. ”God of the vine though.” For a moment he seemed lost in some distant thought and his smile faded before he sat up, ”Naw. Doesn't fit. He was a murderous bastard at times.” He stood up and started pacing his drunk mind toying with the concept.
Perhaps it was the fact delusions of grandeur came typically with his drunken moods but now that mood was swinging and there was a storm brewing behind his pretty eyes. ”This is a funny thought. How to best play Dionysus for a muse.” He turned his gaze over and his smile faltered again before he took a deep swig of his wine and sighed. ”I do believe we are both mad my handsome muse.” He purred out softly.Going away leavin today you've gotta find a brand new heroWhat will they say when I've gone away? well, I like to dance so if you do, just get on the floor.
forget the romance; this is what music was created for.
Thalia's mind had been perusing her knowledge of the gods, especially Dionysus, and their entrapment in these human bodies. She had not met another deity yet, so her know-how about the whole issue was limited, but from what she had gathered, the gods were asleep (much like Keane was) in the back of their host's mind until some event woke them up. That's how it happened for her and Keane, at least.
A poke to the nose brought the muse out of her musings. It was funny how a simple, playful, human gesture could break through Thalia's reverie and remind her why she was at club Leopard in the first place. Which was not to be a moody tease, for one thing.
“Gods aren't real muse but it seems muses are. I definitely find myself wanting to express plenty around you. So I will be your Dionysus for tonight if you like but in the morning you got to be satisfied with Ezekiel.”
It was all Thalia could do to keep her mouth from falling open in surprise. Ignoring the roleplaying connotations of his words - was that an invite to spend the night with Ezekiel? She, well, Keane, flushed with embarrassment. Thalia was still trying to compose herself when Zeek got up from the couch - what was he doing?
With another sip of ambrosia for luck and courage, she got up as well, making her way around the low table to where Zeek was standing.
He smiled down at her/Keane, speaking softly. ”I do believe we are both mad, my handsome muse."
Thalia quietly laughed, leaning Keane's head against the man's neck and placing her hand lightly against his chest. "Sometimes, that's not a bad thing, love."

Poor Ezekiel didn't know what to think of the moody muse. He found himself wavering too and fro trying to figure out how the hell to respond. This was a man who was used to taking on any challenge verbally and coming out like a king. Yet here he was, wordless with a man leaned against his lanky chest. This was out of his element. He scowled to himself and then wrapped his arms around his companion. This was supposed to be a breezy game what the hell happened to turn his new friend around so suddenly.
He stood awkwardly swallowing hard and rested his chin on Thalia/Keane's head. He licked his lips and sighed. Well it looked like play time might be a little delayed but so be it. He wasn't cold hardhearted, a druggy yes, a degenerate drunk? Probably but a stone hearted fool? Never. So he held the man with a deep sigh and then tried to guide him back to the couch. “Well madness can be a blessing you know.” He said soothingly his tone taking that gentle turn again some of the coy tease leaving for now as he guided them to the couch and sat pulling Thalia to sit beside him and swung a long arm over his shoulders.
He lifted his glass with his free hand and stared into the pure liquid as if contemplating it. Slowly he took a sip and sighed in happiness. It had always been his favorite wine since he and his father had brewed up their first batch. He took another swig then started again. ”Without madness... there is no madly in love... or mad about a piece of art. You have no cravings because that's a type of madness and then no one would want anything ever. It would be a boring world would it not?”
He frowned slightly feeling that odd ache he was just missing something. It was just inches out of his reach, it was the golden apple hanging just over his head, no matter how high he jumped or reached it would never be his. He frowned a little deeper and took another swing. ”I defiantly think myself more then a little mad. It explains me far better then simply calling me eccentric. Who names a club after a Greek god after all.”
He snapped out of his revery with a little grin and buried his nose into Thalia's hair taking a slow breath his buzz coming back in full with the heady wine, ”Anyone ever tell you you smell feminine. No insult, its a good thing. Nice to see a guy who takes care of himself. I like men who smell good.” He said steering the conversation expertly away from his little fit with a smooth smile and another sip. His moods were always flippant, coming and going like waves on the beach. It was just easier to keep people up by talking then letting them assume he was angry.[/color] Going away leavin today you've gotta find a brand new hero What will they say when I've gone away? Thalia laughed, reaching behind to place a hand on Zeek's neck. This was just fun and only fun, and the likelihood of Thalia, or Keane for that matter, ever seeing Zeek again was slim to none. Dionysus, whether or not Zeek ever accepted the truth, would show up eventually, and then Thalia would deal with the consequences.
And what consequences there would be...
Thalia gave Zeek another kiss, lingering for a moment longer than was probably necessary.
There were a lot of consequences to consider. Zeek's emotions, Thalia's emotions, Keane's emotions; what happened tonight, versus what was going to happen tomorrow; the hangovers for all three persons involved. A lot of tiny decisions adding up to one big mistake... or one big success.
Thalia took the positive route, pouring herself another glass of this ambrosia as she spoke. "Well, call me mad for this, but I have a suggestion." The muse turned a little on the sofa to where she was facing Zeek, setting her hand lightly on his knee. "Why don't we go somewhere? Somewhere other than here. We can take the liquor and leave, and I honestly don't care where we end up." She gave a devious smile to the man. "I don't have any plans for tomorrow."
{{sorry for the shortness....}}

Zeek watched the man with curiosity. He had never met anyone who had mood swings quite as often as he did. However Thalia seemed to come first in the wild back and forth. Oh some day Dionysus would wake up and be confused as hell to what was going on but for now Zeek was content with who he had made himself. So the young god smiled his sweet lopsided smile and leaned towards the man returning the kiss softly with a little murr of pleasure.
”Elsewhere you say?” He leaned back and tapped his chin as if honestly considering, ”Well that gives us three options... My place, your place, or a hotel.” He winked and stood grabbing the bottle from the table and sloshed a bit more into his glass downing it easily. ”I vote for whatever's closest.”
He looked back to Thalia/Keane and grinned again his eyes flashing over the mans form. It was clear where his mind was wandering as he paused, just for a moment, on the mans pants before flicking back up. Oh yes. He was drunk, pleased with his catch, and ready to win his prize. This was exciting indeed.
He turned his gaze back to Thalia's eyes with that roguish grin dominating his lazy features. ”Then again parks are usually abandoned this time of night...” Oh he was lucky he had a god of wine trapped inside him otherwise he would have been much like poor Thalia, hungover as hell tomorrow. He would probably feel a little ill but that was as bad as it would get.
”But hay whatever you want handsome.” He stood up and held out his hand to help Keane up before wandering towards the bar to grab another bottle for the road. Going away leavin today you've gotta find a brand new hero What will they say when I've gone away? Gotta find a brand new hero
